Our Mission

Our mission is to promote digital equity and work to close the digital divide by providing internet enabled devices to anyone in need at no cost. Our goal is to form strategic partnerships with businesses, organizations, schools, and government to create an ecosystem of device access, internet access, and education.

OUR
STORY

TEK Collaborative began in 2020 as a grassroots response to the COVID-19 pandemic when our founder, Jeff Williams, noticed that many of his daughter's classmates and their families lacked the basic technology needed for remote learning. After donating laptops and launching a GoFundMe that raised over $12,000, he distributed over 800 devices to those in need. In 2022, with support from the Essex County Community Foundation, he transformed his initiative into a sustainable 501(c)(3) organization. Based in Amesbury, we have since provided over 10,000 devices to bridge the digital divide.

OUR VALUES

We believe that access to technology is a basic human right—not a privilege. Our mission is to close the digital divide by getting devices into the hands of people who need them most. Whether it’s a student learning remotely, a job seeker building their future, or a senior staying connected, we help individuals thrive through equitable access to technology.
